Back in 1991, I was Wholesale and Sales Manager for a whimsical toy and nature products company. One of my responsibilities was managing 110 sales reps around the United States. This involved assisting in inventory tracking for new orders, following up on sales goals and reporting, as well as releasing new products.

Like most small to medium sized businesses, we relied heavily on sales reporting capabilities as well as inventory and order tracking. I recall clearly one day when I needed a new report created and I contacted our development consultant. I was told that there was no way to create the type of report I was looking for. “No” is a word for which I’ve never been fond, I also KNEW that this powerful tool could do what I needed. I took it upon myself to learn the application and found a way to produce the report I needed to keep my business goals moving forward.

This was the beginning of a long and passionate quest to help other businesses achieve their goals by “Transforming Technology into Tools.”

In 1995, I created SolutionMakers, Inc. with a mission to assist small to medium-sized companies efficiently and successfully manage and grow their business. To this day, I understand and appreciate how vital a creative approach to business management is. Hearing “no” is not an option when we know there is solution waiting to be identified and implemented
